Should fracking be banned near hydro dams in British Columbia?

!According to documents released by B.C. Hydro in response to a Freedom of Information request, since 2009, dam safety officials with B.C. Hydro have been concerned that fracking could trigger earthquakes that were “greater than the original design criteria” for its Peace Canyon dam. The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives along with three other organizations are now calling for a ban on fracking operations near all hydro dams in B.C., saying earthquakes could endanger human life. - Submitted photo
