Burns Lake celebrates with parade

Hundreds of Burns Lake residents gathered to watch the Aboriginal Day and Canada Day parade, which was held along Hwy. 16 on June 21. The Aboriginal Day celebration continued at Spirit Square, where local First Nations chiefs shared a few words, followed by performances and games. The celebration continued into the evening at the Burns Lake Band’s Gathering Place, followed by fireworks. A Canada Day celebration will be held on July 1 at Spirit Square.
