Alberta actor, Christopher Hunt, played over 25 actors during the play When That I Was, including Jack Rice, Will Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth. The play took place on Nov. 27 at the Lakes District Secondary School in Burns Lake.

The world of Shakespeare came alive in this one-man drama through the memory of the narrator, Jack Rice. The audience was transported back in time to when the Puritans had closed the theatres.

The play was co-written by Edward Atienza and John Mortimer. Prior to the play, Hunt provided some insights about the show to community members at the school library. He also answered questions about his career and Shakespeare’s life.
