Watch for information in the Lakes District News about the celebration at Spirit Square of Canada’s 150th birthday, brought to you by The Burns Lake and District Chamber of Commerce and the Lakes District Arts Council.
Entertainers at Spirit Square will include the Lakes District Community Choir, the Francois Lake Elementary School Choir, the Lake Babine Nation Hereditary Chiefs Drum Group, Roger Patrick and Thomas Nonnenmacher, Three Men and a Bass Drum, and Rachelle van Zanten.
And, watch for information about the ‘My Canada’ Art Exhibition, which opens on June 30 with a reception at the Heritage Centre, directly across Hwy. 16 from the College of New Caledonia. The exhibition will run all summer long at the Heritage Centre.
