Great performances coming up in Burns Lake

Lowry Olafson performs at the Lakeside Multiplex

Singer/songwriter Lowry Olafson will perform at the Lakeside Multiplex on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Family Friendly Gratitude Gala is being presented by the Lakes Animal Friendship Society in celebration of 10 years of community support by residents of the Lakes District.

Doors open at 2:15 p.m. and the performance starts to 2:45 p.m. There will be door prizes and special surprises, and light refreshments will be available.

Admission is by donation of cash, pet food (especially cat food) or pet supplies – collars, leashes, etc.

Season tickets are your best buy

The Lakes District Arts Council (LDAC) season tickets are affordable. Season ticket holders receive a 50 per cent discount or more, over individual ticket prices. Adult season ticket holders get in to LDAC performances for less than $10 per show. Senior prices are even more affordable – about $7 per show.

The arts council also has very affordable family packages. Young people between the ages of six and 18 can attend shows with their parents for $1 per show when parents buy season tickets at the regular adult season ticket prices.
