Is Burns Lake seeing more potholes than usual?

Some residents have noticed that the number of potholes in Burns Lake this spring seems to have increased compared to previous years.

Although the municipality does not keep track of the number of potholes, the village says it would appear there are more than in recent years.

“We have $42,000 in the budget for our pavement patching program, which includes funds to purchase cold mix to fill the potholes,” said the village in a statement. “The public works crew will continue to fill potholes, as usual, within the budget. In late April they will determine which areas to address with a pavement patch.”
