Burns Lake fire chief Rob Krause was recently deployed to Joe Rich, just east of Kelowna, to assist the B.C. Wildfire Service with the Philpott Road wildfire, which broke out near Hwy. 33 last month. Krause has also assisted the province with a wildfire near 100 Mile House, the Elephant Hill fire and the South Plateau Complex this summer.
