Dozens of people from Prince George to Burns Lake joined the Freezer Burnt Fat Bike Fest at the Boer Mountain Rec Site on Feb. 18. Events included a 10 kilometre singletrack lap and a tri race course where participants rode their fat bike, ran or skied and snowshoed. For the 10 km lap, Dallas Hall from Prince George came in first place, Chris Paulson from Pauling - who did the lap on skis - came in second and Susan Russell from Burns Lake came third. The first place winner of the tri race in the youth category was the Snow Rockets team of Charlie Paulson, Magnus Finstad and Dylan Stewart; the first place in the junior category was the Spirit North team of Madison MacDonald, Mackenzie MacDonald and Tsayta Bayes; the first place for the adult men was the Sons of Scandinavia team of Chris Paulson, Dave Sandsmark and Jay Finstad; the first place for the adult women was the Cold Flash team of Karen Broadworth, Susan Russell and Jenny Phillip.
