What had been an investigation into a serious assault has now shifted to a homicide probe following the death Oct. 15 of Pietro Adamo, 54.
He was found just after 8 p.m. Oct. 12 when Houston RCMP officers were called to the parking lot of a residential apartment complex where they discovered Adamo suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Adamo was quickly taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was described as critical and where he succumbed to his injuries.
“The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit continue to investigate Adamo’s death along with the Houston detachment and support units from the North District RCMP,” a RCMP release on Oct. 16 indicated.
“Investigators appreciate the cooperation received from the community thus far and are interested in speaking to anyone that has not yet come forward who may have information,” the release continued.
