The family of Doreen Alison Cowan is saddened to announce her sudden death on December 22, 2008. Doreen was born August 31, 1922 in Indian Head, Sask. She was raised in Regina - the sixth of seven children. She came to Burns Lake in January 1946 to marry Thomas Cowan. They raised their family at Francois Lake and later in Burns Lake.
She leaves to mourn her husband of 62 years Tom; daughters Karen, Adrianne, Alison, Sheelagh, Laurel and Cami, 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, sister - Josephine Colter and brother Carleton Grainger.
Internment will be in the Columbarium in Burns Lake Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to:
