April 20, 1940 - October 26, 2009 Gene Vienneau passed away October 26, 2009 at the Burns Lake hospital after a short illness at the age of 69. He was born in Ontario, moved to Burns Lake in 1972 with his family, he barbered for 35 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working around the property. A service was held at the Island Gospel Church with Ken Peters officiating, eulogy was read by Mike Riis-Christianson.

Gene “The Barber” is forever remembered by: Wife Ellen, Daughter Yvette (Eric) Jones, Sons Riel (Cherrill) and Ridge (Amber), Grandchildren Lane, Shannelle, Mason & Austin. Sisters Theresa Paton & Dorothy (John) Szabo. Sister-in-law Delma (Derek) Foster. Mother-in-law Dorothy Coppaway. Nieces and Nephews Rick (Gaye), Mike, Cathy, Dan (Lina), Virginia (John), Crystal (Mark), Tracey (Jimmy), Todd, Graham (Anita), Gabrielle (John). Predeceased by father Ray Vienneau and mother Edna Ross, father-in-law Eldred Coppaway, brother-in-law Clarion Coppaway.
