Ivy Green, 78 years old, of Rose Lake, BC, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

Born June 23, 1938, in Moorends, England, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Scamans and Hilda Scamans.

Ivy was married to Harold Green on December 15, 1956; they were married for over 60 years. They spent many years travelling and living around the world. They lived in Papua New Guinea and Australia, then set their eyes on Canada where they proudly became Canadian citizens in the year of 1980. They lived in Yellowknife, NT; Creston, BC; Granisle, BC; and finally Rose Lake, BC. They also spent several winters down in Texas as “snowbirds” .

She is survived by her husband of 80 years, Harold Green; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jeff Dyck, Smithers, BC; grandchildren, Michelle and Brian Dyck, Smithers, BC; brother, Roy Scamans, Scounthorpe, England; and nieces, Janet, Tracy, Linda, and Maureen, England.

Ivy is preceded in death by both her parents, Douglas and Hilda Scamans, and her sister; Olive Davis.

She loved spending time in her garden and puttering around the house. Her passion was knitting and crocheting, and she donated many knitted items to the Hospital Auxiliary in Burns Lake.
