DWA ENT has been in business for approximately 20 years. About seven years ago, then director of public works, Paul Carver, asked if we could take on the painting of streets for the village - curbs, parking lines, crosswalks, stop bars, etc. We did it. It was a challenge.

Now the village will resume that work on their own. I’m sure all the guys at public works will give it their all.

I would like, at this time, to express my gratitude to the people of Burns Lake for their courtesy, kindness and words of encouragement while the crew from DWA ENT were on the streets doing this work for you. Truly made it more pleasant to do.

One other point, I have been phoned and asked questions about the Centre Street repaving project. The fact is, DWA ENT has not been involved in any capacity all with this project. I don’t know any more about the project than any other citizen out there. You will have to direct your questions to the village.

As the old saying goes, ‘When one door closes, look for a window to open.’

Sincerely,

Don Lundy
