An oil spill has been found in a creek under the Maxan Road bridge near the Decker Lake Forest Products sawmill.

It appears the creek on the Maxan Road behind Decker Lake Forest Products has an oil slick floating on top on the creek. Officials believe that the oil may be runoff from the mill’s yard. The fund was created from the royalties of van Zanten’s song ‘I Fight for Life’ and it is used to send one child to a conservation camp to learn about protecting and utilizing the land and its resources.
