Last weekend was Burns Lake Mountain Bike Association’s fifth annual women’s Babes in Balance mountain bike retreat. Forty nineriders from all over the Northwest region traveled to Burns Lake to be coached and inspired by Burns Lake grown riders as well as fromout of town advanced level coaches. It was the smoothest Babes yet thanks to the numerous volunteers who coached, tail gunned,shuttled, cooked, first aided, and prepped. (Amy Hanson & Rachelle van Zanten photos)
