Beacon Theatre grand re-opening

The event was in celebration of Beacon Theatre’s revitalization project.

On Nov. 8, community members enjoyed complimentary snacks and a free showing of the movie Dolphin Tale 2 at Beacon Theatre.

The event was in celebration of Beacon Theatre’s revitalization project. New seats with cup holders and vinyl flooring were added to the space, as well seating areas to facilitate the access of people in wheelchairs.

The total cost of the project was approximately $70,000. The repairs were financed by a federal grant, as  well as a grant from the Nechako-Kitamaat Development Fund (NKDF)

The revitalization was a partnership between The Lakes District Film Society and the Village of Burns Lake.
