A sexual violence and healing forum was held in Burns Lake on Oct. 12 and 13 at the Burns Lake Band's Gathering Place. The event was organized to develop an action plan to end sexual violence against women and girls in the region. The development of the action plan was the first of its kind in B.C. as it includes the surrounding First Nations communities as well as the municipality.
