Local pirates (L-R) Sarah, 8, Brandon, 8 and Kayley, 3 had great fun last week during the Burns Lake Public Library’s summer reading club program. The kids made pirate hats, hooks and eye patches during a pirate themed afternoon of fun. The reading program is held over the course of the summer vacation. Preschoolers story time runs on Wednesdays from 11 a.m., to 11:30 a.m. Summer reading club fun for ages five to seven is held on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., ages seven and eight on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and ages nine to 12 on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
