On Nov. 27 2012, Bill Miller, Mayor Luke Strimbold and Dan George present a envelope of cash to Winifred Comeau of the Burns Lake food bank.
The $325 was raised on Nov. 7 at the Regional Opportunities Gathering.
The Burns Lake food bank needs about $2000 per month on average to keep the hampers stocked for those in need. That’s at least $24,000 per year in food distributed to local individuals and families.
