The Burns Lake and District Community Foundation handed out cheques to 11 different organizations on Monday, May 12.
Those that received cheque, who are pictured included the Burns Lake Paintball Association, the Tweedsmuir Cavaliers Saddle Club, the Burns Lake Mountain Bike Association, the Grassy Plains Community Hall Association and the Canadian Animal Assistance Team.
The money will be used for a variety of things including funding youth programs for paintball and the saddle club, buying t-shirts to hand out a bike camps, funding for a video screen and projector and funding for a community animal care event June 14-16.
