Local volunteers have worked hard to clear trails affected by a recent windstorm at the Boer Mountain and Kager Lake recreation sites. According to the Burns Lake Mountain Biking Association, approximately 40 trees came down just on the Kager Lake trail. Armed with hand saws and chainsaws, crews have assessed each of the trails. Although most of the bike park trails have been cleared, newer trails - Pumba, Timon and PT Cruiser - and the downhill trails still have a large amount of fallen trees and will be cleared in the spring.
