This year, the coffee house on Saturday, March 28, at the Francois Lake Hall was the perfect setting to present the 2014 Citizen of the Year award.

The full house gave a standing ovation when a very surprised Gordon and Joan McFee were called to receive the Citizens of the Year. There is no doubt that Gordon and Joan are worthy recipients as they have volunteered for many years in many organizations from minor hockey to the Festival of Performing Arts, and from Band Parents Association to the fall fair. Gordon and Joan have provided leadership and motivation by fund raising, grant writing and by the wielding of paintbrushes.

Congratulations. Also thank you top Gunter Hoehne for this great photo.
