Among this year’s recipients of funding from the Burns Lake and District Community Foundation were local arts foundations.
Grassy Plains Community Hall received $2500 towards infrastructure; the Lakes District Arts Council received $2500 towards their July program; the Lakes District Fall Fair received $3000 towards youth programs; and the Lakes District Film Appreciation Society received $1000 to provide free movies four times this year for families.
