Burns Lake Mayor Luke Strimbold hosted a dinner event in his home on May 25 to introduce four medical students to the community.

This is part of an effort by the village to attract new doctors to work in Burns Lake.

The first-year medical students from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and the University of British Columbia (UBC) were touring northern communities and First Nations reserves as part of a university project. They were trying to get a sense of what life is like in Northern B.C. communities.

Approximately 15 people attended the event.
