Lakes District first responders were thanked for their services during the 'mayor's prayer breakfast for service providers,' held at the Island Gospel Fellowship on Nov. 19. Former Burns Lake mayor Luke Strimbold, who was invited to speak, shared lessons he learned during his time as mayor and expressed his gratitude for local first responders. The event was organized by the men’s prayer breakfast - a group of men from various churches who gather weekly for prayer and friendship. Over 60 people attended the event.
