Local residents Mary Alexander, Doris Martens and Kim Wiebe organized a community garage sale fundraiser for Brian Hanson which was held Saturday, May 31 at the forestry office.
They also sold hamburgers and hotdogs. They raised $4100 for Brian.
If you would like to make a donation still there is a trust account set up at the Bulkley Valley Credit Union for Brian. Deposits can be made at the branch or cheques can be mailed to: BVCU Box 1029, Burns Lake, V0J 1E0.
Brian lost his wife Shelley unexpected May 3. Other fundraising events are planned for later this summer too.
