The 2013 Lakes District Fall Fair and Music Festival was a great three-day success. Summer-like weather completed the festival atmosphere.
4-H Club results below as follows: Grand Champion swine owned by Colton Lambert sold to ENS Travel of Vanderhoof , Grand Champion Lamb owned by Cobie Martens sold to Judith Wiebe of Burns Lake , Reserve Champion Swine owned by John Hoffos sold to W.A.R. Contracting Ltd. of Smithers. , Reserve champion Lamb owned by Aiden Martens sold to McKilligan Creek Cont. of Houston , Mitchell Lagimodiere's lamb sold to Sullivan Motor Products of Houston, Heidi Hoffos's swine sold to Babine Forest Products of Burns Lake, Adam Tibbetts' Lamb sold to Sullivan Motor Products of Houston, Garrett Lambert's lamb sold to Shower Valley Contracting of Vanderhoof, Matthew Bateson's swine sold to Bulkley Valley Credit Union, Antoine Hopegood's lamb sold to Red Wing Cattle Company, Addi Hoffos swine sold to Ken Nielsen Trucking of Grassy Plains. The Red Wing Cattle company donated the lamb they purchased back to the club to auction off. Bulkley Valley Credit Union purchased this animal. Proceeds from the sale will be donated the Ladies Health Auxiliary in Burns Lake.
