All seats were filled at the Lakes District Secondary School gymnasium during the Remembrance Day service.
Following the Lakes District Community Choir’s performance of O Canada and Gordon Oxendale’s bugle performance of the Last Post, two minutes silence was observed.
Veterans and local officials then laid wreaths in remembrance of fallen soldiers. Later, community members were also invited to lay poppies on the wreaths.
