Three Burns Lake girls have entered a Canadian Quilters’ Association contest called Cantik Batiks Youth Challenge 2015.

Contestants had to complete a quilt based on the theme ‘my favorite animal.’ In order to participate, the girls needed a sponsor who was a member of the Canadian Quilters’ Association, so Linda Uchacz, owner of Yarn and Sew On, decided to sponsor them and provided some of the material for their quilts.

The winners of each category will be featured in the summer 2015 edition of The Canadian Quilter magazine.
