Rob Krause is the new director of protective services (fire chief) for the Village of Burns Lake.
Krause will be working part-time hours as a fire chief until Sept. 30, 2016, while he continues to work full time for the B.C. Wildfire Service. After Oct. 1, 2016, he will be a full-time fire chief for Burns Lake.
Krause has been a member of the Burns Lake Fire Department for 29 years, and was a deputy fire chief for 19 years.
