Burns Lake residents attended a New Gold Blackwater project event at the Burns Lake and District Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 24, 2012.

New Gold was in town to host an information session regarding a proposed gold mine project east of the Nechako Reservoir. The completion of a economic feasibility study is scheduled for the end of 2013, and if it’s positive, mine construction could start within two years.

There is a Blackwater project office in Vanderhoof, B.C. Current job opportunities can be seen at: www.newgold.com/blackwater
