The Omineca Ski Club held its annual ‘Racing rocks ski tournament’ on March 3, 2017. This year the kids dressed in their finest rodeo attire and saddled up their skis for barrel racing, pole pending, chariot racing and critter corralling. The event was dominated by enthusiastic students from Francois Lake Elementary who ended up taking home the esteemed ‘pink cow trophy.’ According to the Omineca Ski Club, the beauty of the racing rocks event is its inclusive stye where every child - regardless of skill or speed - gets a chance to participate and have fun doing so.
