Valerie Ingram from the Lakes Animal Friendship Society and her dog Dusty were presented with $9,750 in funding from Lianne Olson Rio Tinto Alcan stakeholder and community relations liaison.
Fifty per cent of the funding will be put towards the Lakes Animal Friendship Society’s school pet care education program and the other 50 per cent will be used for the society’s spay and neuter program. The funding will be dispersed over the next three years.
