On May 10, 2013, the team collected 19 bags of garbage on the second day of Pitch-In, a spring clean-up, two-day event that has teams of youth and adults scouring the streets, pathways and back alleys of Burns Lake picking up whatever garbage they find.
Students from Decker Lake Elementary, William Konkin Elementary, Francois Lake Elementary , and the Lakes District Secondary school were out the day before.
