School District 91's new bus depot is ready to begin to receive buses. T

he new garage, which will be used to do maintenance work, was transformed into one out of the old gymnasium of Muriel Mould Primary School.

The old playground area at the back of the school has been transformed into the depot's parking lot where buses will be parked. The area includes 10 ports for up to 20 buses to be able to plug in during the winter, and the depot also features a wash bay.

A lot of work was done ensuring that there was proper drainage in the yard, work crews dug down approximately three feet to the base layer of soil and put in a drainage system.

In total to renovate part of the old school into a bus depot cost the school district $200,000.

It will be ready for buses to move in completely by the middle of August.
