Thousands of Cotton wood tree seeds were dispersed in the wind in a snow like display last week. The white fluffy seeds blew across Burns Lake and swirled around Spirit Square. Cottonwood trees can be either male or female, but it is the white seeds produced by female trees during early summer that give the tree its name.
