Volunteers of Burns Lake’s monthly soup kitchen prepare a delicious soup at the Burns Lake Vineyard Church. The soup kitchen restarted on Oct. 1, 2016 after taking a break for the summer.
Island Gospel Fellowship pastor Ed Peters explained that summer is a difficult time to gather volunteers as most of them are out of town or involved in bible camps.
Depending on the number of volunteers, donations and the needs of the community, the soup kitchen could possibly become a weekly event.
