The Canadian Cancer Society held its daffodil month fundraiser last Saturday, April 26. at Decker Lake Hall.

The event was held to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, with proceeds going towards helping the prevention of cancer.

April is the Canadian Cancer Society’s daffodil month, with the daffodil being used as a symbol for hope.

Rhoda Anderson, one of the fundraiser’s organizers says she would like to grateful to the entire Burns Lake community for the wonderful support they’ve shown.

Relay for Life is the next big event for the cancer society and will begin to take place Canada wide beginning in May.
