Burns Lake resident Bernice Crossman has been hired as the Village of Burns Lake’s (VBL) new director of finance. Crossman began work on Sept. 3, 2013. She replaces Carla Fox, who moved to Fernie upon her husband’s transfer there.
Crossman, a certified general accountant with her own six year private accounting practise, has recently been doing work for Comfor Management Services Ltd. (CMSL). She will remain contracted to CMSL during the early fall while her replacement there is being trained.
The VBL has been without a director of finance for two months.
“We are so relieved and excited to have Bernice here,” said Sheryl Worthing, VBL chief administrative officer. “Her business reputation precedes here and we know that she will be a valuable addition to our team.”
