Canadian Parents for French hosted their annual winter carnival at William Konkin Elementary (WKE) last Friday - an event inspired by the Quebec Winter Carnival. The event started with a pancake breakfast where students the opportunity to try out some instruments, listen to music and they even got to meet the mascot Bonhomme. The kids then headed off to various locations to go skating, curling, skiing, snowshoeing and swimming. Burns Lake Mayor Chris Beach and the RCMP also attended the event.
