Nine Burns Lake students at William Konkin Elementary school were selected as winners of the 2013 Young Writers of Canada contest.
On Nov. 7, 2013, the school gathered to celebrate their achievement, and former story contest winner Abby Michell presented six of the students with copies of the anthology they are now published in.
Three of the contest winners were not available for the assembly.
