The Lakes District Arts Council’s eleventh performing arts season opens on Oct. 6 with B.C. blues guitarist and actor Jim Byrnes and his band performing at Lakes District Secondary School.
The season will continue with a classical and pop quartet; a trio of singing cowboys from Alberta; a B.C. vocalist performing songs of musical legends including Edith Piaf, Bette Middler and Carole Burnett; a classical musician whose performance will include local children’s artwork and live piano music; and an evening of tap dance, music, song and theatre.
