Enjoy the entertainment in Burns Lake

Burns Lake is busy with lots of upcoming entertainment.

On April 26 the Daffodil Extravaganza 2014, the annual fundraiser of the Burns Lake Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society will be held at the Decker Lake Hall. Doors open at 5:00 pm and supper at 6:00 pm. Dinner, dance, door prizes, toonie auction and silent auction. Music by Flaming Pie. Tickets on sale soon! This Sunday the Arts Council and The Beacon Theatre present The Met: Live in HD production of Dvorak’s Rusalka, starring soprano Rene Fleming and tenor Piotr Beczala. Show time is 1:00 pm sharp, and tickets are available at the door. Watch for posters and an ad in the Lakes District News.

Burns Lake Citizens on Patrol presents a Coffee House at the Decker Lake Hall on May 10. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Music at 7:00 pm. Admission is by donation. Watch for more information, including the local performers who will entertain for this coffee house.
