The Lakes District Arts Council (LDAC) invited artist Rene Jaspers to showcase her artwork during the performance of Joelle Rabu and Nico Rhodes on Feb. 25. Jaspers displayed a number of paintings in her ‘Highway of Hope’ series. The art show and its goal, which is to highlight the beauty of Hwy. 16 and promote safe transportation, made a strong connection for many in the audience, including Rabu, who lives on Haida Gwaii.
