The debut of the Burns Lake open mic coffee house on Oct. 7 was a smashing success. Organizer Jim Loeb and local performers Anastasia Troy, Lorne Macnab, Jim Loeb, Len Hall and Debra Glover entertained a packed house at the Heritage Room. Over $200 was collected for the Lakes Animal Friendship Society (LAFS). The open mic coffee house will continue to be held at the Heritage Room on the first Friday of each month through May. All door proceeds, donations and item sales will be for the benefit of LAFS.
