The 54 annual Lakes District Festival of the Performing Arts started on March 6 and will continue through until March 10, with the Gala Honours Concert to be held on March 12. All Festival events are held at the Island Gospel Church. March 6 and 7 were the vocal competitions. March 8 was speech arts, and today and tomorrow are the piano competitions.
