Agnes Goertzen’s 90th birthday was celebrated by her family and Burns Lake residents at the Fireplace church in Burns Lake on Nov. 17. Everyone gathered around Goertzen to wish her ‘happy birthday’ and socialized with each other. “My mom has made a real contribution to the community through her baking, hospitality, and showing love to many people,” eldest son Peter Goertzen said.
