Drugs, cash, and weapons were seized by Burns Lake RCMP during a traffic stop.

The driver of the vehicle was already under investigation by the Burns Lake Crime Reduction Unit (BLCRU) when they pulled him over for a traffic violation May 30. An officer spotted what they believed to be drugs in the vehicle. Police arrested the driver along with his passenger, according to an RCMP press release.

A search of the vehicle revealed over 30 grams of crack and cocaine, over $5,000 in cash, and evidence of drug trafficking, the press release said,

Police then executed a search warrant at the driver's home and discovered over 300 grams of crack, cocaine, psilocybin, various prescription pills, illegal cigarettes, 15 tabs of LSD and over $10,000 in cash. Weapons were seized including two baseball bats, an axe, pepper spray, and several knives. They also discovered drug trafficking utilities such as a scale.

"The suspect was released without process pending further investigation," the RCMP press release said.
