The Burns Lake & District Chamber of Commerce held its monthly meeting and asked Bill Millerto attend as an invited guest speaker. Miller gave an update on the Resource Benefits Alliance and an overall of the recent wild fires in the local area. Richard Vossen, treasurer for the chamber thanked Bill for all the years of service he has didiacted to Burns Lake and the Lakes District. Miller has represented the Burns Lake area for the past 10 years and has been the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN) chair for the past seven. Miller recently announced he was not seeking re-election for Director of Electoral Area B (Burns Lake rural). (Laura Blackwell photo)
