Free live theatre performance at The Beacon Theatre on BC Family Day

The Lakes District Arts Council (LDAC) offers a free live theatre show, Frog Belly Rat Bone, for children and families on BC Family Day, Monday Feb. 19 at The Beacon Theatre in Burns Lake. The theatre opens at 12:30 p.m., and the show starts at 1 p.m. sharp.

Vancouver-based Axis Theatre Company presents a live show about a very special boy whose wish is to find a treasure. Based on a children’s storybook adapted for the stage, this show is meant for kids pre-k to grade five. Combining the magic of beautifully handcrafted puppets with an original pop/rock musical score, this show tells the story of a young boy’s quest for treasure, and the unlikely hero he creates to protect it. This event is supported by the BC Arts Council, the Village of Burns Lake, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, and School District 91 [Nechako Lakes].
